Avalanche beets produces very round, uniform roots that are excellent harvested as a baby beet or as a mature beet. Avalanche produces mild, very sweet beets with good white colour both on skin and flesh. Avalanche lacks the reddish skin and bitter aftertaste that other white beets possess. Healthy tops have good resistance to foliar diseases. Very slow to go woody.
